Paranor breaks into the top 25%
Since 2018 Paranor has been monitoring the areas of environmental responsibility, labour laws and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR). EcoVadis is the platform that enables companies to document their CSR efforts and have them certified. After a first certification in 2018, Paranor passed its re-certification at the end of 2019 with flying colours and was able to establish itself in the top 25 percent of all companies across the industry.
About EcoVadis
EcoVadis was founded in 2007 and offers buying departments solutions for sustainable procurement. At the same time, suppliers can use their EcoVadis rating to prove that they are adhering to international corporate social responsibility guidelines. The EcoVadis methodology focuses on 21 criteria from the four subject areas Environment, Social Responsibility, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. It is based on international CSR standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000. For this purpose, EcoVadis has created a software-as-a-service platform, while teams of analysts work in the background to review the submitted documents.
Paranor’s rating
Paranor has always taken the four subject areas of environmental responsibility, labour laws and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement very seriously. Everything needed to be carefully documented so that we could demonstrate our values in these areas and prove our commitment to continuous improvement. This effort has really paid off since – with Paranor performing above the industry average in all four areas.
With these results, Paranor has broken into the top 25 percent of companies in the IT industry.
A continuous process
Corporate social responsibility is a topic that is always relevant and must therefore always be carefully attended to. Whether with or without an EcoVadis rating, Paranor places great importance on social responsibility and strives to eradicate any deficits that are identified and – where meaningful and appropriate – to implement further improvements. EcoVadis helps companies to identify concrete scope for improvement. Paranor has set itself the goal of achieving a higher rating at every yearly re-certification than in the previous year. But even more important than the EcoVadis rating is the opinion of our customers and our employees.
