Paranor breaks into the top 25%

Since 2018 Paranor has been monitoring the areas of environmental responsibility, labour laws and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR). EcoVadis is the platform that enables companies to document their CSR efforts and have them certified. After a first certification in 2018, Paranor passed its re-certification at the end of 2019 with flying colours and was able to establish itself in the top 25 percent of all companies across the industry.

Our team working at SBFI

In 2016 Paranor won the public tender issued by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SBFI). After the framework contract for the supply of services in the information technology sector was signed, it was quickly brought to life with an initial set of mandates. The Paranor team now counts five members, who are working on several applications between them.

Sprengen Online

The State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SBFI) in the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research has been appointed by the legislator to supervise the training and examination of candidates for the award of blasting licences. Paranor is helping SBFI to build new software to manage this new scheme.

A new Investment Cockpit for Finnova

In the form of its Finnova Banking Software , software developer Finnova from Lenzburg offers a product portfolio that is used in over 100 banks in Switzerland. With success comes obligations, and Finnova is committed to continuously improving and developing its products. One example of this is the Portfolio Management System (PMS), which is being equipped with a new Investment Cockpit. Paranor is helping to shape the development of this new cockpit.

User interfaces at Paranor – a journey through time

When Paranor was founded in 1978, command line user interfaces were the standard form of user interface used in the industry. Graphical user interfaces did not gain significant popularity until the 1980s, when they started to emerge as the number one human-machine interface. Today, we have a wide range of options at our disposal for interacting with a computer: Voice commands, vibrations, gestures etc. In the 41 years of its existence, Paranor has built many user interfaces. We take a look back and allow ourselves to look ahead to what the future may hold.

Reference project: New project for SBB

With the smartrail 4.0 programme, the SBB has launched an innovation programme unlike anything that has ever been seen before. Together with other railway operators, digitalisation and the potential of new technologies are to be exploited in order to further increase capacity and safety and to make more efficient use of the railway infrastructure. Together with Schweizer Electronic AG, Paranor was able to secure the contract for a project as part of this programme.
